The Rotary Club of Port Elgin is a charitable, community service organization dedicated to enhancing the local and regional community, providing youth services, and international aid. All profits from our Home and Recreation Show are used for charitable purposes and the show is one of our major annual fund raisers. The club has funded such projects as the Rotary Hall at our local arena complex, Saugeen Shores Skate park, Robertson Soccer field, Replica Train station rail trail washroom and the Port Elgin branch Library upgrade to name a few. The Club has also contributed to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital and to muscular dystrophy research, and continues to fund a D.A.R.E program in our local schools, host a youth exchange and provide Service Above Self scholarships to youths. The club is proud to support several international aid programs.
The annual Home Show is only one of many events promoted by The Rotary Club of Port Elgin. Other Fundraising events throughout the year include the annual Jeff Preston Golf Tournament, The Huron Shores run, Ribfeast and Winterama.
