The Rotary Club of Port Elgin is a charitable, community service organization dedicated to enhancing the local and regional community, providing youth services, and international aid. All profits from our Home and Recreation Show are used for charitable purposes and the show is one of our major annual fund raisers. The club has funded such projects as the Rotary Hall at our local arena complex, Saugeen Shores Skate park, Robertson Soccer field, Replica Train station rail trail washroom, the Port Elgin branch Library upgrade, and the new Splash pads in Port Elgin and Southampton to name a few. The Club has also contributed to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital, Huron Shores Hospice and to Muscular Dystrophy research, continues to fund the Nutrition program in our local schools, and provides Service Above Self scholarships to youths. The club is proud to support several international aid programs.
The annual Home Show is only one of many events promoted by The Rotary Club of Port Elgin. Other Fundraising events throughout the year include the annual Golf Tournament, The Huron Shores run and Pumpkin-PieFest.
